Land Condition Assessment

Assessment of the condition of land and how this changes with time is rapidly becoming a crucial factor in optimising land use and managing impacts from climate change. Traditionally, we have relied on ground based or satellite based surveys and data to provide us with insight. However, while useful, these survey methods have their limitations, particularly in relation to coverage and the innovative application of sensor technologies. The use of drone platforms with multiple or integrated sensor technologies can provide cost-effective and rich data to support a robust evidential basis for sound decision making for land use and land use change.
